iRobot Roomba 770 Vacuum Cleaning Robot for Pets and Allergies
The iRobot® Roomba® 770 vacuums like you would and leaves behind clean, healthier air on schedule or at the touch of a button. The Roomba 770 Vacuum Cleaning Robot removes up to 98% of dirt, dust, and pet hair from your floors. Using iAdapt Responsive Cleaning Technology, the robot thoroughly vacuums the entire floor, including hard-to-reach spots under furniture.
The iRobot Roomba 770 (MSRP $499.99) is one of the best robot vacuums out there. In our tests, it did what a robot vacuum should: got itself where it needed to go in order to tidy up your floors between cleanings.
Roomba 770 includes dual HEPA air filters to stop fine dust from circulating in your home. It also features Dirt Detect™ Series 2 technology to find the dirtiest areas of your home and perfom a concentrated cleaning in those spots. The included Virtual Walls® keep Roomba confined to the areas you want it, and out of the ones you don’t. The robot’s Full Bin Indicator lets you know when it needs to be emptied, taking any guesswork out of cleaning. Plus, with Roomba’s on-board-scheduling the robot cleans when it’s most convenient for you, even when you’re not home. The state-of-the art touchpad gives you control of the robot at the touch of a finger.
This model includes a 12 month limited warranty for the robot and a 6 month limited warranty for the included battery.
Product Features:3-Stage Cleaning with AeroVac™ Series 2 – Roomba 770 uses a powerful 3-stage cleaning system to pick up an amazing amount of dirt, pet hair, and other debris. A spinning side brush cleans along wall edges to loosen dirt and dust. Then, Roomba’s counter-rotating brushes act like a broom and dustpan to pull debris from the floor. Finally, the powerful AeroVac Series 2 vacuum sucks the dirt, hair, and debris from the brushes into the back of the bin. Roomba 770’s advanced cleaning head provides superior cleaning performance.
Dual HEPA Filters – Roomba 770’s dual HEPA filters trap dust, allergens, and other tiny particles leaving behind clean air.
Dirt Detect Series 2 with Persistent Pass Cleaning Pattern – Dirt Detect Series 2 allows Roomba 770 to clean the way you do. Sensors optically and acoustically locate dirt and hair so Roomba can perform concentrated cleaning on the dirtiest areas. Persistent Pass uses a back-and-forth cleaning motion that mimics the way you vacuum.
iAdapt Responsive Cleaning Technology – iAdapt is iRobot’s advanced system of software and sensors that allows Roomba to clean more of your room, more thoroughly. Roomba covers every section of your floor multiple times, cleaning areas you can’t easily reach including under furniture, around everyday obstacles, along walls and under cabinets. It automatically adjusts to different floor types and avoids stairs and drop-offs.
Virtual Walls – Included Virtual Walls keep Roomba cleaning where you need it and block off-limit areas.
Full Bin Indicator – Roomba 770’s full bin indicator lets you know when the dust bin needs to be emptied.
On-Board Scheduling –Roomba can be scheduled to perform up to seven cleaning sessions per week, even when you’re not home.
Remote Control – The included infrared remote allows you to control Roomba from across the room.

As vacuums go, the Roomba 770 does an excellent job of clearing up most debris. I’d say 90 percent of what I dropped on to the floor got found. It’s still slower when compared to a traditional vacuum, but you can’t set and forget a Hoover. A typical vacuum does a more satisfactory job of cleaning typically, perhaps, because our very own natural sensors for dirt remain much better than Roomba’s.
